The World Economic Forum is one of the major global economic meetings held annually in Davos, Switzerland.
To get the most out of your participation, there are some important details to consider in advance. In particular, you must plan your logistics so as not to bother with the journey, book a hotel near the forum, obtain a pass for the entire duration of the forum and above all select the events to which you wish to go.
Don’t bother with the commute
For participants in the Davos Economic Forum, getting to the venue is often complicated. To save you logistical hassles and ensure your mobility with peace of mind, it is best to book a car with driver to go to the forum.
If you are arriving from outside Switzerland, your pre-booked private driver will be able to transfer you from the airport to your hotel of stay. Then from your hotel to the forum.
A hotel near the forum to save time
Depending on whether you are arriving from Geneva for the Swiss Alps winter resort where the forum is held, it will take around 4h30 minutes by car and around 1h41 minutes if you arrive from Zurich.
This is why you need to find a hotel in the town of Davos which is close to the forum site in order to save time. With more than a hundred operational hotels in Davos, it is up to you to choose the establishment that suits your needs with care.
Take a pass for the duration of the forum
Participation and access to the Davos Economic Forum are subject to payment of an entrance ticket. A pass that is quite expensive and the amount of which varies depending on the status of member, guest (participant) or uninvited.
It is set at € 18,000 excluding annual subscription (€ 40,000) for adhering members, € 100,000 for Industry Associates, € 200,000 for Industry Partners. Uninvited participants must pay an entrance fee of approximately € 53,000.
Select the events to go to
If the flagship event of the World Economic Forum remains the Annual Meeting which lasts 5 days, many other events are included in the program of activities. Including round tables, conferences and meetings. You will hardly be able to attend all these activities simultaneously.
The ideal is therefore to take note of the official program of the forum in order to discriminate the events which interest you and which you wish to participate or attend.
