Dark Mode is a recent display feature that Snapchat users can take advantage of.
You can activate it on your smartphone from the settings of the Snapchat app or by activating the native dark theme of your iOS or Android device.

How to put Snap in black on iPhone?
To enjoy Snap’s dark mode on your iPhone, you need to make sure you have the most recent version of the Snapchat app. If this is not the case, we suggest that you update your application.
You’ll notice that Snap’s dark mode requires manual activation. An easy way to turn it on is to simply turn on the dark theme in your iPhone’s display settings. Once done, your Snapchat app will automatically switch to dark mode.
Alternatively, you can also take advantage of the dark mode by activating it from the settings of the application even by following the steps below:
- Open the app and click on your profile picture (bitmoji) to access Snap Settings
- Then click on the Appearance option
- Among the 3 options Always light, Always dark, System theme which are proposed, choose the option “Always dark” (Always Dark)
- You have just put your Snap in black.
How to have Snap in black on Samsung?
As with all devices running Android, Snap’s dark mode is not yet available for Samsung smartphones. However, there are solutions to put your Snap in black on your Samsung smartphone.
For this it must be equipped with the Android 10 version at least. You will then just have to activate the native dark theme in the internal settings of your Samsung so that your Snap application automatically switches to dark mode.
However, if your Samsung device is equipped with a system version lower than Android 10, as a last resort you can use a third-party app like Stream Theme Engine available on the Play store, to force Snapchat dark mode.
How to put Snap in black on Redmi note 8?
As the Xiaomi Redmi not 8 also runs on Android, dark mode is not yet available via the Snap app.
The only way to have Snap in black on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is to activate the native dark theme of your smartphone.
You just need to click on the “Parameter” application. Then go to the “Display” section. Then check the “Dark mode” option to extend it to all the applications on your device including Snapchat.
