Quick Access to Content – Summary
We often hesitate to switch from an Android smartphone to an iPhone because we imagine that this change will be very complicated. First, you have to get used to the phone, applications, menus and options … But above all, you have to transfer all your data, including your contact list, from one phone to another.
If the synchronization between two Android smartphones is a breeze, it is more complicated between an Android and an iOS. But rest assured, it is quite possible! Here are some methods to achieve this in record time:
Transfer your Android contacts to iPhone using software
Fortunately, there is software available that can make this transfer done in no time. The best known are Tenorshare iCareFone, AnyTrans and Apowersoft Smartphone Manager.
To transfer your Android contacts to iPhone with Tenorshare iCarFone, you must first download the software to your computer.
Then plug your Android phone into your computer and find the contacts folder. On the software interface, choose in the menu “File Management> Contacts” and click on “Import”. You will just have to select the contents of the Contacts folder and click on “Open”. Your contacts will be immediately transferred to your new iPhone.
AnyTrans works the same way: you will first need to download the software to your computer.
To transfer your contacts to your new iPhone, open the software then plug your two phones into your computer. At the top of the screen, you have an “iOS” button. Click on it, then on “Content to iOS”. Select the “Contacts” category then click “Next” (arrow on the right of the screen). That’s it !
AnyTrans has the advantage of being very intuitive, so you can’t go wrong!
Apowersoft Smartphone Manager
Likewise, first download the software to your computer, then open it and plug your Android phone into your computer.
On the software, click on “Contacts” then select the contacts to keep. Click on “Export”: they will be copied to your computer.
To transfer them to your iPhone, disconnect your Android phone and then connect the iPhone to your computer. Select the “Contact” tab and click “Import”. All the contacts copied to your computer will be transferred to your iPhone.
However, if you don’t want to clutter your computer’s hard drive with new software, be aware that there are other methods that don’t require software and are very simple.
Transfer your Android contacts to iPhone via your Google account
If you have already linked your Google account to your Android phone, all you need to do is sync all your contacts to it. Then, on your iPhone, go to “Contacts” and press “Add account”. Add your Google account: all your contacts will be synchronized on your new smartphone.
Transfer your Android contacts to iPhone with an export / import
In your contacts, open the menu and select “Import / Export”. Choose to export to a storage memory: all your contacts will be kept in a vCard folder.
Then plug your phone into your computer and find the vCard folder. Copy / paste all contacts from the folder to your computer in vcf format.
To transfer your contacts to your iPhone, you can email the contents of the folder to yourself. From your iPhone, open your email and click on “add all contacts”.
If you have too many contacts and it doesn’t go through email, you’ll have to resort to software. For example, you can use the Copytrans Contacts program. You must first have it installed on your computer. Then connect your iPhone to your computer and in the software import your contacts from the vCard file.
Now you know how not to lose your contacts when switching from Android smartphone to iPhone. All you have to do is take the plunge!
